Courses
The URACE office compiled this list of introductory research courses available to undergraduate students at Florida State. This list is always growing, so if you know of a course that should be added to this list, please contact our office.

Directed Individual Study/Research
Directed individual study provides the opportunity for a student to work with a faculty mentor for one or more semesters on an individual research project in the student’s major.

Honors in the Major
The Honors in the Major program at Florida State University is available to students who have a 3.2 or higher GPA and have at least 60 credit hours. There are Honors in the Major programs available in most of the majors at Florida State. This program will allow you to work closely with a faculty member on a project for two or three semesters. The work culminates in a defense of your thesis. Please read through the tutorial on the Honors in the Major website for more information.

D Scholarship Repository
The D scholarship repository is a data base of research that is being done here at Florida State. The link above will take you to the repository of Honors in the Major theses from 2004 to the present.

International Programs
Think globally and explore the opportunities that await you in the world. Florida State has one of the oldest and most extensive programs for international study in the country. From study centers in Valencia, London, Florence, and Panama City, Panama to summer programs designed to compliment your major, international study is a great way to enrich your research experience.

Libraries
The libraries at Florida State University offer a wealth of information to aid student research. The librarians are ready to help with questions you may have as you work on your project, assisting with everything from inter-library loans and special collections to research roadblocks you may encounter.

Office of National Fellowships
The Office of National Fellowships provides mentoring and personal assistance with over 60 national competitive fellowships. ONF serves the students of Florida State by working to match students with fellowships based on their individual experiences, goals and values, and by working closely with the student through every step of the fellowship application process.
 
Office of Research
The Florida State University Office of Research supports the campus environment that fosters research and creative endeavors at every level, from the undergraduate, to graduate student and faculty. They provide a wide variety of support services for researchers, including information about research activities involving human and animal subjects.

Writing Center
The university writing center will assist you in any stage of the writing process. They will work with you to improve your own proofreading and editing skills, as well as helping you to formulate ideas and building your vocabulary.

The Career Center
The Career Center works with Florida State students through every step of the process as they begin to plan for life after graduation. Career counseling, internships, Seminole Futures Career Exposition, workshops, and career portfolios are only some of the services and resources available.
