Primus Mtenga
Associate Professor

     Dr. Mtenga supervised Latasha Newsome's FGLSAMP internship studying the "Envelope of Roots Systems" in Spring 2001.




Lisa Spainhour
Associate Professor

     Dr. Spainhour has worked on several funded research projects with undergraduate research assistants, including studies of "Evaluation of Traffic Crash Fatality Causes and Effects," "Field Performance of Roadside Barriers," and "Composite Fiber Wrapping of Bridge Elements in the Splash Zone". The first two were funded by the Florida Department of Transportation and the last was paid for by the National Science Foundation.

     Dr. Spainhour also supervised Isaac Wootton's 1999 DIS, titled "Corrosion of Steel-Reinforced Concrete" and Tonia Snyder's 1999 DIS, titled "Comparison of Repair Rates and Costs of Impact Attenuators."

     There are undergraduate research assistant positions open for Dr. Spainhour's funded research project on "Evaluation of Traffic Crash Fatality Causes and Effects," which will continue through 2003.
