Undergraduate Summer Research Awards
The Office of Undergraduate Research will be awarding several $1,000 Summer Research Awards to undergraduate students to assist in summer research that is supported by a faculty mentor. Click here for more information and the application. Applications are due to UCA 3600 by February 22, 2008.
Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Awards (URCAA)
The Office of National fellowships offers the opportunity to apply for one of the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Awards. The applications for the 2008 awards are due on February 1, 2008. The recipients of the awards receive $4,000 to help offset the expense of doing research or a creative project under the direction of a supervising faculty mentor. The award can be used to pay for travel, supplies/material, and living expenses.
Recipients of the award are required to present their findings at a colloquium held in the fall semester following their summer of research.
Summer Research at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory
The eight-week summer research experience at the Mag Lab at Florida State offers unique opportunities to explore science at the extremes of magnetic field, pressure, and temperature.
